The focus is on resistance exercises, but other exercises are also a focal point such as cardio-respiratory fitness, balance exercises, and healthy stretching. Resistance exercises are a focal point because, as one ages, the muscles and bones deteriorate faster after age 35, and resistance exercises have proved to be the best exercises for preserving muscle and maintaining strong bones.
